The Islamabad High Court has reserved its decision on whether petitions challenging the alleged solitary confinement of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi are maintainable.
The hearing was conducted by Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro, during which arguments from the federal government, NAB, and the Advocate General Islamabad were heard. The respondents requested the court to dismiss the petitions, declaring them non-maintainable.
According to court proceedings, the judge observed that a decision on maintainability will be issued first, and only if the petitions are found admissible will notices be issued to the concerned parties.
It was further noted during the hearing that, if the matter proceeds, the next hearing could be scheduled for the first week of August.
