Rawalpindi: Advocate Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry arrived at Adiala Jail on Friday to obtain Imran Khan’s signatures on powers of attorney and other legal documents required for proceedings in the 190 Million Pound case.
According to Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry, a copy of the Islamabad High Court’s order has been delivered to jail authorities. The order was issued during proceedings on a contempt petition concerning delays in facilitating the signing of legal documents.
He stated that under the court’s directions, jail authorities are obligated to ensure that the powers of attorney are signed and returned within seven days.
Chaudhry noted that the legal documents are required for filing an appeal before the Supreme Court in the 190 Million Pound case. He further stated that the powers of attorney have remained with jail authorities since May 25, and continued delays are affecting the statutory timelines and legal proceedings.
