The hearing in the Al-Qadir Trust case involving Imran Khan was cancelled on April 6, 2026, at the Islamabad High Court.
According to details, the scheduled proceedings could not take place as Justice Sarfraz Dogar was occupied in a meeting at the Supreme Court. As a result, the case was adjourned without any hearing.
Notably, this is not the first time such a situation has occurred. A similar hearing in October 2025 was also cancelled due to a Supreme Court meeting. Multiple hearings in the Al-Qadir case have been repeatedly cancelled through various means.
For a long period, the case was not even fixed for hearing. Now that it has finally been scheduled, concerns are being raised over what are being described as “lame excuses” to delay proceedings.
The case reflects political victimization, and that continued delays in hearings only strengthen these concerns.
