Serious concerns are being raised over the health and conditions of detention of Imran Khan, as reports indicate that his solitary confinement continues while several of his basic human rights remain unaddressed. According to reports, his right eye is currently functioning with only about 15% vision, further intensifying worries about his medical condition.

Pakistan’s prominent constitutional expert Aitzaz Ahsan has emphasized that granting Imran Khan access to appropriate medical care of his choosing is not merely a matter of human rights but also a matter of basic humanity.

He urged authorities to immediately transfer him to Shifa International Hospital for an independent and transparent medical evaluation, ensuring that he receives proper treatment and that concerns about his health are addressed in a credible manner.
