Medical concerns are being raised regarding the health of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is reportedly suffering from Central Retinal Vein Occlusion (CRVO), a serious eye condition that can significantly affect vision.
According to Dr. Asim, CRVO can often be linked to underlying medical conditions. “There can be underlying medical conditions that can cause this; high blood pressure, diabetes, elevated cholesterol and other lipids in the blood, some autoimmune conditions, and hypercoagulable states,” he explained.
Dr. Asim emphasized that such a condition requires immediate and comprehensive medical evaluation. He stated that Imran Khan should not only be examined by an ophthalmologist but should also undergo a full medical assessment by a general physician to identify and manage any underlying health issues contributing to the condition.
Concerns are also being raised over the lack of proper medical access. Despite the seriousness of the condition, Imran Khan has been denied fair medical treatment and has not been allowed to consult his personal doctors for examination and monitoring. The continued restriction on access to his own physicians has intensified worries among medical professionals and supporters about the transparency and adequacy of the care being provided.
Health experts warn that without timely medical attention and proper monitoring, CRVO can lead to severe complications, including permanent vision loss, making regular medical evaluation essential for patients suffering from the condition.
