The case has been filed by Ghulam Murtaza Khan Advocate, who is the Executive Member of Wajid Gilani Cabinet of the Islamabad High Court Bar Association and the case is being argued by Barrister Zafarullah Khan, a senior member of the PML-N.
The petitioner in the case has demanded that the court declare tweets posted from Imran Khan’s official account while in judicial custody as illegal and unconstitutional. He has demanded that the court investigate and identify the operators of Imran Khan’s account, block the tweets and remove them from social media, and ensure strict compliance with the prison rules to block Imran Khan’s messages/tweets. The petitioner has also demanded that Mr. Imran Khan stop the series of tweets and messages and stop Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf from retweeting/sharing/copy-pasting Imran Khan’s tweets.
