The Islamabad High Court has adjourned the Al-Qadir Trust case appeal of former Prime Minister Imran Khan until 18 June 2026.

During the hearing, the two-member bench reviewed the medical report regarding Barrister Salman Safdar’s eye condition but observed that further delay in such a sensitive matter was not appropriate, noting that the previous hearing had already provided a final opportunity for arguments.

The court also directed Adiala Jail authorities to immediately process and hand over Mr. Imran Khan’s power of attorney to his legal team in accordance with legal procedures, while noting that the required facilitation had not been provided earlier.

In its order, the bench issued a final warning to Mr. Imran Khan and Mrs. Bushra Bibi to ensure alternative legal representation if their lead counsel remains unable to appear on medical grounds. The court stated that arguments must commence on the next hearing date, otherwise the matter may be decided on the basis of the available judicial record and applicable law without any further extension.
