Hearing on Imran Khan’s Twitter Case Scheduled for May 4, 2026

Islamabad: A hearing in the case concerning Imran Khan’s alleged Twitter activity, along with a petition regarding medical care and visitation rights for Bushra Bibi, is scheduled for May 4, 2026, at 9:00 AM in the Islamabad High Court.

The case will be heard by Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir. The petition requests the court to declare tweets allegedly posted from Imran Khan’s account during his imprisonment as unlawful and unconstitutional. It also seeks orders directing authorities to investigate those operating the account and to block or remove the content.

The petitioner has further urged the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority and cybercrime agencies to take immediate action, and has requested strict enforcement of prison regulations to prevent unauthorized use of social media by inmates.

According to the defense, Imran Khan has not been properly informed about the case and has been denied adequate access to his legal counsel, limiting his ability to provide instructions for his defense.

The court will also hear a separate petition concerning medical facilities and visitation rights for Bushra Bibi.

The case has attracted considerable attention in legal and political circles, raising questions about social media use, prison rules, and fundamental rights, including fair trial and access to legal representation.
