A hearing related to Imran Khan’s Twitter account was held before Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir at the Islamabad High Court, where key concerns regarding legal access and representation were raised.
Speaking after the hearing, Salman Akram Raja stated that the petition, originally filed in November 2025, has faced significant procedural hurdles. He informed the court that the legal team neither had a power of attorney nor had been granted access to meet Imran Khan, despite clear court orders.
According to Raja, no meeting has been allowed between November 2025 and May 2026, and a contempt petition filed in this regard has not been acted upon. He emphasized that the lack of access has hindered the ability to obtain instructions from his client.
Taking note of the situation, the court has now sought a response from the government on the matter.
