The Islamabad High Court will hear Criminal Appeal No. 273/2023 filed by former Prime Minister Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case on March 10, 2026.
The appeal challenges the conviction issued by Humayun Dilawar on August 5, 2023, after which Imran Khan was arrested from Zaman Park, Lahore and shifted to Attock Jail.
The case will be heard at 11:30 am by a two-member bench of the Islamabad High Court comprising Arbab Muhammad Tahir and Khadim Hussain Soomro.
During the hearing, the court will also take up a miscellaneous petition regarding Imran Khan’s health and medical examination. Additionally, the Jail Superintendent will submit a report detailing the period of sentence already served by the former prime minister.
Imran Khan was granted bail in this case by the Islamabad High Court on August 28, 2023, after spending 23 days in prison. However, he remained in custody due to his arrest in the Cipher case.
Legal observers say that if the appeal is decided in Imran Khan’s favor on merit, one of the disqualifications imposed on him through various cases could potentially be lifted, which may affect his future participation in parliamentary politics.
