Kasim Khan, son of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has claimed that his father has lost most of the vision in his right eye, alleging that only 15 percent eyesight remains. In a strongly worded public statement, he attributed the reported deterioration to prolonged solitary confinement and medical neglect during his incarceration.
According to Kasim Khan, the former prime minister has spent 922 days in solitary confinement and has allegedly been denied essential medical tests, including regular blood work, as well as timely and proper treatment. He described the situation as a direct consequence of what he termed “deliberate medical neglect” in jail.
In his statement, Kasim placed responsibility on the current authorities, accusing the ruling regime and senior leadership of overseeing and enabling what he called unjust treatment. He further alleged that the justice system has been manipulated to prolong his father’s confinement under harsh conditions.
Kasim Khan also revealed that both he and his brother have been denied visas to travel to Pakistan to see their father despite his reported worsening health. “History will record this injustice,” he said, urging international human rights organizations, legal institutions, and democratic governments to take notice of the situation and hold those responsible accountable.
