Delay in Imran Khan’s Bail Cases Raises Serious Questions Over Justice System

Imran Khan’s counsel, Barrister Salman Safdar, while speaking to the media outside the Supreme Court, revealed that over the past five months, only one meeting with Imran Khan has been allowed, and that too for just ten minutes. He stated that winter is now ending and Ramadan is set to begin within a week, a period during which bail applications are traditionally given priority by the courts.

Barrister Salman Safdar warned that if Imran Khan’s bail cases are not taken up for hearing during Ramadan, it would amount to a collapse of the justice system. He emphasized that prolonged delays and denial of basic legal rights not only affect an individual but also seriously undermine the credibility of the judicial process.

He urged the courts to act in accordance with the Constitution and the law by fixing the bail matters for hearing without further delay, so that justice is not only done but is also seen to be done.
