Aleema Khan Questions Delay in Medical Orders for Imran Khan

Aleema Khan, sister of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has expressed concern over the delay in court orders regarding her brother’s medical treatment, nearly 30 hours after a jail visit report was presented before the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

In a statement issued Friday at 3:40pm, Aleema Khan said that despite the report being submitted to the apex court, no directives had yet been issued for Imran Khan to be shifted to Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad for examination and treatment by specialist doctors under the supervision of his personal medical team.

The report in question was presented to the Supreme Court following a recent prison visit and included details about the former premier’s health condition and medical needs. Aleema questioned why no immediate orders had followed, particularly given the concerns raised about his deteriorating eyesight and overall health.

She emphasized that timely medical evaluation by independent specialists was essential and urged authorities to act without further delay.

The development adds to growing public scrutiny surrounding the former prime minister’s health and conditions of detention.
