Two inquiries have been initiated regarding tweets coming from Imran Khan’s X account. According to reports, the NCCIA team visited Adiala Jail multiple times, but Imran Khan did not cooperate or disclose who is managing the account. He reportedly told the inquiry committee that if he revealed the account operator, he could face torture or abduction.
The NCCIA has submitted a response in the High Court regarding the request to block Imran Khan’s X account. The ongoing inquiries are an attempt to create a sham case, suppress his voice, and close the only account representing the voice of the people of Pakistan.
This development has raised serious concerns about freedom of speech and political intimidation, as critics argue that targeting Imran Khan’s social media presence undermines democratic rights and the ability of leaders to communicate with the public.
