A month ago, Judge Shah Arjumand stated that now there would be daily hearings of Toshakhana case 2. Following that, the case was conducted at such a speed that the final arguments along with testimonies of 342 witnesses were completed within just four dates. During this time, all the witnesses presented were proven to be false. The trial was conducted behind closed doors; if it had been an open trial, the media would have revealed how many blunders the prosecution made in this case.
After the entire case was completed, on October 16th, the prosecution stated that they had some statements to make, which could have been done in just 10 minutes. However, the judge, after 13 days, fixed the date for October 29th. This date was already scheduled for tomorrow, but suddenly today, the hearing was canceled again. The only reason seems to be to blackmail Imran Khan with the threat of punishment and to maintain the fear of sentencing.
Currently, the entire country’s courts, including the High Court and the Supreme Court, are unable to enforce their decisions.
The family of the judges of Islamabad High Court, who had come last week to facilitate a meeting with the Chief Minister, also couldn’t see any progress.
The Supreme Court had issued an order regarding the prisoners detained in militancy cases, giving them the right to appeal, but even that has seen no implementation for the past four months.
Therefore, we believe that the decision will be made on the streets. We all shout slogans like “Who will save Pakistan? Imran Khan, Imran Khan,”
